Hotel Heiress, Paris Hilton, Arrested For Alleged Cocaine Possession
Posted By Admin
The Hotel Heiress, Paris Hilton, was booked on Friday night in Las Vegas for allegedly having cocaine in her purse. The Las Vegas Police Department gave little information about the incident, but did say that police officers smelled marijuana in her black Cadillac Escalade and decided to pull it over, arresting the socialite and her driver. During the summer South African World Cup, Paris Hilton was booked for allegedly possessing marijuana. However, the case was not pursued. Las Vegas prosecutors haven't made any claims as to whether they would take any legal action against Hilton.

George Michael Admits Driving Under The Influence of Cannabis
Posted By Admin
The 47-year-old pop singer, George Michael, whose claim to fame is Wham! -- a 1980s pop group, has been battling his drug addictions for quite some time. On the 4th of July, his cannabis addiction prevailed as he drove his Range Rover into a photography shop. Sources say that the officers found him "spaced out" with the engine still on. Michael pleaded guilty in a London court to driving under the influence of cannabis at the time. He even admitted being in possession of cannabis cigarettes while at the Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court. The singer arrived to court only to give his real name, Georgios Panayiotou, and his plea. In the mean time Robin McPhee, the District Judge, has given the singer a six-month driving ban. Michael will be sentenced on September 14 once the court considers his case, remaining on bail until then. The judge has made it clear that he can still face prison time, reminding him that this incident was no anomaly. In 2007,  The court imposed a two-year driving ban on the singer after he plead guilty to driving while unfit, taking prescription drugs while driving.

Have you been arrested for driving under the influence of drugs? If so, you were likely charged with a DUI (driving under the influence). While most people are accustom to seeing this charge associated with alcohol, prosecutors aggressively pursue individuals that were seemingly on drugs at the time of their DUI stop. Because your drug charges will be coupled with a DUI offense you will be going through the same criminal process that all other DUI arrests go through. This include the suspension of your drivers' license (through the DMV) and a separate criminal case prosecuting you for Driving Under the Influence.

If you have been charged with DUI while under the influence of drugs, contact our Los Angeles DUI attorneys today to discuss the details of your arrest and schedule a DMV hearing to help save your drivers' license. Remember, you only have 10 day from the point of your arrest to protest these charges and save your driving privileges.

Justin Bieber Lookalike Almost Slapped With Juvenile Crime
Posted By Admin
In Ocean City, Maryland, customers phoned in the police at the Mug and Mallet bar. They believed that the 16-year-old teen heartthrob, Justin Bieber, was drinking underage at the bar. After the police raid, it became evident that the culprit was not Bieber, but Katie -- a 27-year-old woman with the same hair style, physiognomy, and physique as that of the teenage singer. Katie told sources that this was not an uncommon occurrence for her, and that she was "mistaken for Bieber all the time". She showed her ID card to verify her identity to the police.

A juvenile crime is any criminal act that is committed by a minor (person below the legal age of 18).  Commonly committed juvenile crimes include:  gang crimes, vandalism, petty theft, shoplifting, vehicular theft, drug offenses, DUI, and assault and battery.  Many people make the mistake of assuming that minors can commit crimes and not suffer the consequences.  However, this belief is far from the truth, as the state of California has implemented strict laws and penalties for juveniles who engage in criminal behavior or acts of delinquency.

If your child has been charged with a juvenile crime, call the Hedding Law Firm at (818) 986-2092 today!  Our skilled legal team will investigate the facts surrounding your case, contest evidence presented against you, and place every effort into your defense.  At the Hedding Law Firm, we are dedicated to our clients and their cases.

Posted By Admin
On Saturday  a domestic violence call was made to the police by an unidentified woman who was in the Dodger's team hotel. The woman claimed that Vicente Padilla, the Dodger pitcher slapped her in the face. Padilla's lawyer stated that she later took back the claim that he had slapped her, and noted that she had no signs of injury that could be used as evidence against Padilla.

Padilla, thus far, has been cooperating with investigators. He was never placed in custody. Leslie Branch-Wise, a Police spokeswoman, stated that there had been no proof that Padilla committed a crime, and that he would not be arrested or charged.

High-school Juveniles Plead Guilty To Witness Intimidation
Posted By Admin
In Long Beach California, two High School students, who are 16 and 17, plead guilty to the charges of witness intimidation. This incident was tied to the murder of one of their classmates, Melody Ross, in 2009. On April 23, the girls were arrested at their school. They have been in custody since.

On Monday these girls admitted their petition at the Long Beach Juvenile Court. They were then sentenced to probation until the age of 21 and house arrest for 30 days. This will also count as a strike that will not be removed from their records once they are adults.

This whole incident began when a High-school boy, Vinson, opened fire during a homecoming game, allegedly doing so because of a rival gang in the crowd.
Long Beach Police started to investigate once they learned that the two said girls were intimidating witnesses both in and out of the courthouse at the time of the preliminary hearing. Police officials said that witness intimidation would not be tolerated.
