A man was found dead on the 10 freeway this morning. He was reportedly struck by several cars before a motorist pulled over and called the authorities. According to Brent Leatherman, California Highway Patrol officer, troopers were called about 3:41 a.m. to the westbound freeway, where the body of a man in his mid-30s was lying in the slow lane. Witnesses informed Leatherman that several cars struck the man and did not stop. He said there were no suspects in the possible felony hit-and-run. "One person ran over the body after the fact and called 911, which is what we want people to do," he said. "They won't get into trouble." It is not known why he walked onto the freeway, but an autopsy was pending.
