Single-Vehicle Crash in Northridge, Passenger dies, Driver Flees

A single-vehicle crash left one dead early sunday morning. The crash was reported at 3:46 a.m. on the westbound 118 east of Sepulveda Blvd.
The victim, a 25-year-old man, was the passenger of the vehicle. He was reportedly ejected and thrown from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle allegedly fled the scene. The driver, a 20-year-old Northridge man, was later arrested and booked on suspicion of manslaughter.
