3 Gang Members Charged Robbery and Kidnapping

Phillip Ely, 29; Lavelle Mosley, 22 and Terion Lamarr Collins, 25, three known 40s Crips gang members, were charged on Friday September 14, 2012 with robbing a bank, leading the police on a high speed chase, and then on top of it all, throwing bulks of money out the car window.

The three are charged with four counts each of second-degree robbery and one count each of kidnapping to commit another crime. Additionally, Ely is charged with evading an officer and auto theft with prior convictions.

Prosecutors allege that due to their status as street gang members, they used a gun to rob the bank.

There were actually four suspects, one still remains at large, who robbed a bank early Wednesday September 12, 2012. As they attempted to escape in a stolen vehicle, they were throwing fistful of cash out the window, probably to cause crowds and traffic. Well, that they did but it did not play in their favor.

The suspects were trapped by the traffic they caused by throwing money into the residential streets they were driving through. Some sources allege that the suspects called their friends to come out and grab the cash being thrown into streets.

If they are convicted, the face life in prison.
