A blue alert was put out for an ex-LAPD officer on February 7, 2013. Former LAPD officer Christopher Jordan Dorner, 33, is suspected of killing three people and injuring two others.

Daughter of Captain Randy Quan, Monica Quan, 28, and her fiancé Keith Lawrence, 27, were found dead in Lawrence's Kia in the parking garage of their condo complex in Irvine.

Retired LAPD captain Quan was involved in a case that led to Dorner's termination for making false police reports and statements.

Reports state that Dorner posted a 20-page manifesto on Facebook saying statements like “I never had the opportunity to have a family of my own. I'm terminating yours.”

He stated that his life ended when the department fired him and when the Navy discharged him and that this evil must be committed. Dorner has also shot three police officers, one of them fatally.

Dorner has assault rifles and many other weapons in his possession. He is trained as an officer and a navy seal. He is considered to be armed and dangerous.

When patrol identified a truck similar to the car Dorner was driving, they shot at the vehicle, finding out that the inhabitants were two women. They were both injured by the shots and were taken to the hospital. Numerous law enforcement agencies are involved in the search for Dorner, and alerts have been issued across California and Nevada.
