David Everson was arrested back in January by CSUN campus police for possession of a shot gun and ingredients to make a destructive device. According to CSUN police Chief Anne Glavin they were found in Everson’s dorm room after he made comments to counselors that caused them to become concerned and notify authorities.
The second count of possession of bomb-making material was dismissed as a result of his plea. Everson pleaded no contest yesterday, to possession of a firearm on a university campus.
San Fernando Superior Court Commissioner Jeffrey Harkavy immediately sentenced 23-year old Everson to three years probation and ordered him to complete a six month live-in mental health treatment program.
