Argon Sabas, 34, was arrested Thursday, June 9, 2012, at his Carson work site in the hit-and-run death of a San Pedro woman.

According to witness statements, Yolanda Archuleta, 51, was hit and instantly killed as she was trying to cross the road by a Black 1993 Honda Accord.

With the help of those witness leads, officers tracked the suspect's car to a home in the 1500 block of Cedar Avenue. The vehicle was found with front-end damage consistent with being involved in a collision. Sabas was later arrested at his job.

Sabas was booked on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and was instead of $50,000 bail.
