The man who was arrested for the Topanga mall kidnapping and rape incident, 18 year old Kioki Ray Snowden, is facing 14 felony counts in Van Nuys court.
His first appearance was Monday July 15, 2013 and his arraignment is scheduled for July 29th where he will plead guilty, not guilty, or no contest to kidnapping and raping of Westfield mall employee on Fourth of July.
Snowden is being held without bail as a risk of flight.
He is being accused of kidnapping 19 year old mall employee using a deadly weapon, a knife, and robbing and sexually assaulting her in a three hour period.
The 14 felony counts he’s facing includes: four counts of forcible rape, three counts of identity theft, two counts of kidnapping to commit another crime and one count each of second- degree robbery, sexual penetration by foreign object, forcible oral copulation, sodomy by use of force and second-degree commercial burglary.
Unless a Van Nuys Criminal Attorney is able to present a strong and persuasive defense, if convicted, Snowden face life in prison.
