Teresa Aguayo, 46, attacked a store clerk because the store clerk would not sell him and individual 12-ounce beer bottle on Easter Sunday.

Aguayo then began hitting the clerk on the head with the bottle and tried to strangle her with a blanket behind the counter.

Investigators say Aguayo grabbed nearby rubbing alcohol, acetone and bug spray during the attack and rubbed them in the clerk’s face.

Aguayo was arrested for attempted murder on a $500,000 bail.

The clerk was taken to Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian for observation.

Being charged with attempted murder is a serious crime and has life altering consequences. A conviction can result in over 15 years and prison and that is why an experienced and aggressive Criminal Defense Attorney is necessary.
