Maria Nater, 45, a Vista woman, pled guilty to stealing over 2,000 books and DVDs from public libraries in Carlsbad, Oceanside, and San Diego.

Nater stole with the intent to sell the books and DVDs on the Internet. Some of the books and DVDs were found packed and ready to be shipped.

The investigation began several months ago when librarians were noticing books missing from the shelves.

The plea agreement entailed that Nater plead guilty to one count of felony burglary and then be set to receive probation when sentenced on April 25th.

In some cases, a plea agreement may seem practicable but as your Los Angeles Defense Attorney we assure you that we will aggressively fight for you until the end. Our main objective is to get charges against are clients completely dismissed or reduced to a minimum.
